Trail Obstacle Training

2021 - April 11 & August 15th - Trail Obstacle Challenge & Training Day 10:00am - 3:00pm

Obstacle training develops calmness, balance, responsiveness to aides, and trust between horse and rider, using objects and terrain found/encountered on the trail and in the "real world". It carries over to any type of riding in all disciplines, and is beneficial for horses and riders at any age and stage of training.

A variety of "interesting" objects and challenges will be set up around the arena, and you will be free to experiment with and experience them at your own pace in a safe and supervised environment. The events also  include a judged, timed challenge with a prize awarded to the 1st place winner.

The event will begin at 10:00am and end around 3:00pm.  Open use of obstacles from 10 am - Noon and 1 pm to 3 pm.  Judged Obstacle Challenge will occur from Noon to 1 pm.  This event is $10.00 for LWSC members.  Non-members fee is $20.00.
