SHOW NEWS!

Fun Show on JULY 11th and 12th

This show is expected to be a little smaller than our other shows, so if you are looking for a good experience for your young horses or new riders this show should be a little less chaotic.

We do have stalls available for this show, however they DO NOT HAVE ROOFS. Due to the very dry summer and extreme fire danger we heeded the advice of the fire department and purchased new flame retardant roofs that will be here the week following the show. Due to this, we are offering stalls at a 50% discount during the day: only $15 to stable your horse for the day of the show. Overnight stabling is available for $10 per night, with stalls accessible at 5pm.

We are looking for volunteers if anyone is interested - lots of fun things to do on both days to help you qualify for year end awards! Check in at the main office upon arrival to volunteer.

Carol Dean Porter Clinic

The clinic with Carol Dean Porter is looking to be very popular! We have a few spots that have opened up in the 2', 2'6", and 3'-3'3" range if you are interested. The clinic is $275 for LWSC members and $300 for non-members. Stabling is available for $75 for the weekend. Please email jumperfs@lakewashingtonsaddleclub.org to reserve your spot today.

Auditing is available for free for members and for $25 to non-members. There will be an informal potluck BBQ on Saturday by the barns with an "Ask the Judge" session for all interested saddle club members.

If the clinic doesn't sound interesting to you (or your spouse, father, mother, etc), the Bridle Trails Parks Foundation is hosting Horses and Hops on Saturday evening, which is a blast!

EXTRA Fun Shows:  Jumper - August 22nd and Hunter -August 23rd

Due to overwhelming attendance and the desire to consistently respond to the requests of our members, the show management team has added a fifth fun show this season!

The show will start at 8am on Saturday and be limited to 45 riders. This will allow us to be finished in plenty of time so that you can attend the Bridle Trails Park Foundation's Storytelling and Smores event!

On Sunday in addition to our normal hunter show offerings, we will host a LWSC Mini-Maclay Medal class for juniors and amateurs who would like to participate (sorry trainers, this one is not for you!). Riders will do a complicated equitation over fences round at 2'6" on their own horse, then the top riders MAY be asked back for a ride-off on each other's horses. The ride off could be on the flat or over lower fences depending on entries and skill levels. There will be a prize awarded to first place and ribbons to 8th place.

Stall roofs will be installed by this time, so please email jumperfs@lakewashingtonsaddleclub.org if you would like to reserve a stall for this show..
