Trail/Obstacle Training Day:   Sunday,   Aug. 2  11 -3 PM
No Pre-registration Required - come anytime between 11 and 3.
Free for LWSC members   Guests $10.00

A variety of "interesting" objects and challenges will be set up around the arenas, and you will be free to experiment with and experience them at your own pace in a safe and supervised environment.  Obstacle training develops calmness, balance, responsiveness to aides, and trust between horse and rider, using objects and terrain found/encountered on the trail and in the "real world". It carries over to any type of riding in all disciplines, and is beneficial for horses and riders at any age and stage of training. Bring a halter for your horse. Helmets for riders are required.

EXTRA Fun Shows:  Jumper-Hunter shows added  - August 22/23rd

Due to overwhelming attendance and the desire to consistently respond to the requests of our members, the show management team has added a fifth fun show weekend this season!

The shows will start at 8am on Saturday and be limited to 45 riders. This will allow us to be finished in plenty of time so that you can attend the Bridle Trails Park Foundation's Storytelling and Smores event!

On Sunday in addition to our normal hunter show offerings, we will host a LWSC Mini-Maclay Medal class for juniors and amateurs who would like to participate (sorry trainers, this one is not for you!). Riders will do a complicated equitation over fences round at 2'6" on their own horse, then the top riders MAY be asked back for a ride-off on each other's horses. The ride off could be on the flat or over lower fences depending on entries and skill levels. There will be a prize awarded to first place and ribbons to 8th place.

Stall roofs are installed, so please email jumperfs@lakewashingtonsaddleclub.org if you would like to reserve a stall for this show.
