REGISTRATION AND CLASS LIST

Cowboy Dressage Clinic with Dale Rumens-Partee:  Oct. 10-11

Cowboy Dressage™ is a beautiful blend of Traditional Western Horsemanship and Classical Dressage. It is an art form combining the excitement and drama of western horsemanship with the precision and beauty of classical dressage blending both disciplines and taking the best from both. "The rider becomes more educated, patient, and understanding, allowing for the partnership between horse and rider to bloom.....that partnership being the goal of all good horseman and horsewoman."

“Cowboy Dressage" was created by Eitan Beth Halachmy of Grass Valley, California. "A good western horse must have self-carriage.... I believe the principles of self-carriage between Cowboy Dressage and Dressage are the same but the application and follow through may be visually different."
You can see Eitan in action in his videos

SHOW NEWS!

EXTRA Fun Shows:  Jumper-Hunter shows added  - August 22/23rd

Due to overwhelming attendance and the desire to consistently respond to the requests of our members, the show management team has added a fifth fun show weekend this season!

The shows will start at 8am on Saturday and be limited to 45 riders. This will allow us to be finished in plenty of time so that you can attend the Bridle Trails Park Foundation's Storytelling and Smores event!

On Sunday in addition to our normal hunter show offerings, we will host a LWSC Mini-Maclay Medal class for juniors and amateurs who would like to participate (sorry trainers, this one is not for you!). Riders will do a complicated equitation over fences round at 2'6" on their own horse, then the top riders MAY be asked back for a ride-off on each other's horses. The ride off could be on the flat or over lower fences depending on entries and skill levels. There will be a prize awarded to first place and ribbons to 8th place.

Stall roofs are installed, so please email jumperfs@lakewashingtonsaddleclub.org if you would like to reserve a stall for this show.
